Hi. I’m Jodie Thorz Dawson - a psychologist turned coach and entrepreneur.
From an early age, I was taught that you had to follow a linear path to success. Go to college, graduate school, and start a professional career in an area you chose at 18 years old.
I followed the path I thought I was supposed to be on but waivered every step of the way. I wasn't happy or fulfilled and could not figure out why. I had gone to the best schools and received the best training to be a clinical psychologist but something wasn’t aligning for me.
And then, 20 years ago, I was introduced to coaching and it changed my life. Through my certification as a life coach and co-active leader, I was able to learn about my own values, passions, and life purpose. I learned how to take risks, how to invite failure into my life, and how to live a non-linear journey both personally and professionally. So, in 2010 I had enough courage to leave my career as a university administrator to pursue my passion project with my wife and business partner.
With a steep learning curve, entrepreneurship has afforded me so many opportunities that I had never dreamed possible. Being the navigator of my own personal and professional life has allowed me more flexibility to make my family and personal growth a priority while growing and sustaining my own business.
It hasn’t been without its struggles but I’ve learned to embrace them and meet them head-on, and to make conscious decisions and choices along the way that are in line with what’s important to me.
Every day, I give thanks for having the determination and fearlessness it took. And now, I want to help you by taking all that I’ve learned along the way sharing it with you — because I know it’s possible to bring dreams into reality.
Why Me?
I understand the struggle of the journey.
I'm passionate about helping women recognize their full potential and life purpose - a life in line with their values.
I’m great at helping women change their perspectives, giving them the courage to think outside the box and take the next step forward.
I’m a seasoned coach, consultant, and entrepreneur with specialty areas in women’s entrepreneurship and ADHD.
I have successfully grown a coffee company from one location with minimal sales to a multi-million dollar franchise with four storefronts in 10 years.

What Clients Are Saying
"Jodie was a godsend to me. She gave me a place to start changes when I was struggling with where to begin. She encouraged me when I was giving up, helped me to regain my confidence as a strong woman, and gave me the courage to stand up for what was right.” - Patsy T.
“It would be impossible to build a more fitting business coach than Jodie. Her business credentials are impressive, having built her own (successful!) business from the ground up. Her background in mental health makes her more qualified than most to handle the softer skills as well. The combination is hard to beat. As my mentor, while I built my own business, Jodie gently guided me, never telling me what to do but always asking the right questions at the right moment to help me think about an obstacle or an opportunity in a different way. Somehow I think she always knew the choice I would make before I did and would help me find clarity amidst chaos. I can’t recommend Jodie enough for anyone looking for someone who can listen, understand, and guide you to your best self and your best business.” - Kacy E.
“As a coach (business owner and former therapist), Jodie ‘walks the talk’ of a life of curiosity and discovery. Her grounded support and insightful observations provide the much-needed quiet to my storm.” - Julie C.
"Jodie is a deeply intuitive leader and coach, who can quickly see the heart of things, and doesn't shy away from naming what she sees. She has the rare gift of being able to tell you difficult truths while at the same time making you feel safe enough to hear them. I find that with Jodie, I can face things I might not be willing to face on my own, and I am more likely to do something about them. Her presence makes me braver and stronger." - Linda F.
